Liverpool are poised to make a bid for Manchester United and Chelsea target Adam Lallana in the summer.
The Southampton playmaker has been in dazzling form and is expected to be included in Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad.
The 25-year-old has recently courted interest from United and Chelsea, who are also hot on the heels of his team-mate Luke Shaw.
And according to reports, Liverpool are determined to complete a move for Lallana before England head out to Brazil.
However, it is also understood Southampton are yet to receive an official bid from the Reds.
Lallana, who was recently voted Southampton's Player of the Year has fired home nine Premier League goals this season.
England coach Roy Hodgson will announce his provisional World Cup squad on Monday.
