Liverpool are ready to sign teenage striking sensation Divock Origi who became Belgium's youngest goalscorer at the World Cup.
Reports claim Lille's 19-year-old striker Origi is high on Brendan Rodgers' wish-list and could be the Northern-Irishman's first signing of the summer.
Tottenham and Arsenal had also been linked for the forward, however it appears the Belgian is heading for Anfield.
Origi's match winning strike against Fabio Capello's Russia cemented his name on the world stage.
And more of his potential could yet be seen in tonight's fixture against a low-grade South Korean side.Despite netting Marc Wilmots' Belgian team, Origi boasts a record that is far from prolific.
Just five goals in 30 appearances for Lille, and a failure to register a single assist could represent a sizeable gamble for Liverpool chiefs.
However the manager has clearly done his homework on the youngster, having been spotted at a number of Lille games.
A reported £6m fee will be needed to sign the relatively unproven entity - and the French team would also ask for Origi to be returned immediately for a season-long loan.
