Liverpool are believed to be chasing a deal for Lille striker Divock Origi, who is currently impressing at the World Cup with Belgium.
Sources have told ESPN that if a deal can be concluded for the 19-year-old he will be loaned back to Lille for the 2014-15 season.
The teenager has played a significant part in helping Belgium to the last 16 in Brazil, scoring the winner in their 1-0 Group H victory over Russia. He then replaced the dropped Romely Lukaku in the final group game, a 1-0 win over South Korea. Belgium play the United States in the Round of 16 on Tuesday.
He has also been linked with a move to Roma, but last week revealed he would prefer a move to the Premier League. He has also been watched by Tottenham Hotspur.
Origi, who joined French Ligue 1 side Lille from the youth academy of Belgian club Genk in 2010, comes from a strong football background. His father Mike was a striker who played in Belgium for Genk and at international level for Kenya.
