Liverpool's match-winner Raheem Sterling hailed Saturday's 1-0 victory over Reading as "one of the happiest days of my life".
The 17-year-old winger scored his first goal for the Reds when he burst on to Luis Suarez's pass and produced a clinical finish before the break.
Sterling became the second youngest goalscorer in the club's history behind Michael Owen.
He is being shielded from media interviews by the Reds until after his 18th birthday in December but he took to Twitter to say: "Great day for me and my family to score for such a big club. One of the happiest days of my life."
