Echo: 'Pepe so key to Wigan victory'

Luis Suarez took the plaudits following the 4-0 thrashing of Wigan but let's not overlook Pepe Reina's contribution, writes Kop legend John Aldridge.
Reina had his best game for Liverpool for a long time and pulled off three excellent saves.
It was nice to see him having a go at Jose Enrique in the second half as he was clearly desperate to keep a clean sheet.
Over the past couple of years his standards slipped with too many errors.
Maybe signing that big contract contributed to his form dipping as he didn't really kick on.
But I also don't think it helped having Mike Kelly as a goalkeeping coach under Roy Hodgson.
Thankfully, there have been signs recently of Reina getting back to his best.
