Tottenham no longer have any interest in signing Southampton star Adam Lallana, leaving the way clear for Liverpool.
Speculation linking Spurs with a move for the England international emerged this week following Mauricio Pochettino's move to White Hart Lane from St Mary's.
Reports suggested the new Tottenham boss wanted to make Lallana one of his first signings and the north London outfit were ready to rival Liverpool for his signature.
However, the latest reports have indicated that Spurs are out of the running for the 26-year-old, who was the subject of a £25million offer from Liverpool earlier this week.
The Reds, who initially opened the bidding at £20million, are desperate to tie up a deal for Lallana but may now have to wait until after the World Cup as the playmaker gets set to fly out with England to Miami.
