Liverpool are reported to be closing in on a swoop for Swansea striker Wilfried Bony as Brendan Rodgers plans a massive spending spree.
Rodgers has the money from the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona burning a hole in his pocket and a large chunk of it is expected to go on Swans striker Bony.
Swansea boss Garry Monk has insisted the Ivory Coast ace is not for sale but if Liverpool match the £20million release clause in his contract then a move is likely to happen.
Bony showed his class with 25 goals last season and Rodgers believes the 25-year-old can help fill the void left behind following the departure of Suarez.
Rodgers will not stop there and is also being linked with Swansea stars Michel Vorm and Ben Davies, while Southampton pair Jay Rodriguez and Dejan Lovren are targets, along with Benfica winger Lazar Markovic and Lille's Belgium international striker Divock Origi.
