Brendan Rodgers could be set to raid his former club Swansea to take Ben Davies and Wilfried Bony to Liverpool.
The Swans have already had to fight off interest from Tottenham, who offered midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson and cash for Davies and goalkeeper Michel Vorm, while they also wanted Bony.
Swansea are not interested in selling but their resolve could be tested once again as Liverpool are said to be lining up a double swoop for Davies and Bony.
Bony only arrived at Swansea after Rodgers had left for Anfield, while Davies also broke into the first team under the leadership of his successor at the Liberty Stadium, Michael Laudrup.
While current Swans boss Garry Monk has said that players will have to leave as he looks to bring even more in, that does not apply to his star men and he is under no pressure to sell.
