Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti believes a move to Liverpool will be beneficial for midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
The two sides are in talks over a move for the 20-year-old and the hope is an agreement will have been reached before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.
The Brazilian has found first-team opportunities hard to come by in Italy and a move to Anfield looks to be on the cards, with unconfirmed reports in Italy claiming he was on his way to the Reds on Monday for a medical.
"There are certain opportunities that should be taken," Moratti said.
"Sometimes players are able to get more playing time, and so I think it could be a great opportunity for Coutinho and a deal that might work out well for us."
The two sides have yet to agree a fee, with Inter looking for around £10m so they can spend it on their own targets and Liverpool said to be offering £8m.
