Liverpool could be set to complete a double swoop on RB Leipzig this summer with Jurgen Klopp interested in signing Timo Werner, according to reports.

Naby Keita will officially become a Liverpool player at the end of the season after a fee was agreed with RB Leipzig last summer.

However, following Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona earlier this year, Klopp is expected to be given a huge transfer budget to reinvest the £142million in his squad.

Reports are suggesting a new goalkeeper is top of the list for Liverpool.

Roma’s Alisson and Stoke’s Jack Butland have strongly been linked with a move to Anfield while Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas has also had his name mentioned with a potential transfer.

But it seems Klopp is interested in further bolstering his attacking options.

And the Independent report the Liverpool boss has his eye on Keita’s teammate Werner.

The 22-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents having burst onto the scene with RB Leipzig last season, scoring 21 goals and providing seven assists.

It is said Manchester United have also expressed an interest in Werner but Klopp has shown greater intent to make a deal happen.
