Stopper drops move hint
Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno has opened the door to a move to Liverpool by insisting "everything is possible".
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer, and a raid on the Bundesliga club has been mooted.
Liverpool would face strong competition from Arsenal, should the player move on, and he admits the chance to head to the Premier League could help him develop into one of the world's best.
“Everything is possible," Leno said when quizzed about a move. “Of course a move to a top European club would help me to develop myself personally.
"The situation at Bayer Leverkusen, however, also offers opportunities. And you can benefit from both scenarios. The fact is I play at a top club in Germany.
"I don’t want to escape from Leverkusen because the season went badly, but I also know that every summer I think about the season and the future. We must also weigh up what is best for a person, especially if you have ambitions to play an important role for the national team.”
