Liverpool are in the hunt for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Ante Coric, but will face strong competition for his services this summer.

The 20-year-old has impressed after establishing himself in the Dinamo side this season, and his performances have caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp, who is planning a spending spree this summer.

However luring the Croatia international to Anfield will not be easy, as the player seems happy where he is, while a host of Europe’s top clubs are also in the hunt.

Coric, who has also been linked with Tottenham, Roma and Sampdoria, is under contract until 2022 meaning Dinamo are under no pressure to cash in on their starlet.

"I am happy such big clubs want me, but I want to play with my favourite team in the Champions League," Coric has been quoted as saying.

"It was up to me to decide, all I needed to do was a medical, but I want to stay at Dinamo, where I can give a lot more."
