Michael Keane has admitted he is 'flattered' by the interest being shown in him by the likes of Liverpool and Everton.

Keane made his England debut on Wednesday night as the Three Lions were felled by Germany, another step in a career that has blossomed since he left Manchester United in 2015.

He won promotion to the Premier League with Burnley last season and has impressed in the top flight, becoming a key cog in a side that have exceeded expectations to sit in 13th after 29 games.

Sportsmail understands Liverpool are interested in Keane, joining favourites Everton, Manchester City and Leicester City in considering a summer move for the 24-year-old defender.

"It's flattering to see, but I'm focused on Burnley," Keane admitted. "We've got nine games left in the season and we need to make sure we remain in the league.

"But to see things like that can only mean you're playing well."
