Liverpool are considering a summer bid for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, according to reports.

Keita has been a star for RB Leipzig this season following their promotion to the German top flight.

The midfielder has scored four goals and provided seven assists in the Bundesliga and is said to have caught the attention of Liverpool.

Website Goal claims the Guinea international's direct and high-pressing style is well suited to Jurgen Klopp's tactics.

And the Reds are said to be considering a summer bid for the 22-year-old.

A deal is not expected to be straightforward, with a number of Europe's top clubs also interested in Keita.

Premier League rivals Arsenal, as well as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are all said to be circling.

And the midfielder may opt to spend one more season with Leipzig as the Bundesliga newcomers look set to secure Champions League football for next season.

However, the report says Liverpool could have an advantage in negotiations due to Sadio Mane.

Mane and Keita share the same agent and he oversaw the Senegal international's successful move to Anfield from Southampton last summer.

The agency is said to have been impressed with the way the club handled the 24-year-old's move which could help smooth a deal for Keita.
