Mahmoud Dahoud was a big transfer target for Jurgen Klopp in the summer - but the Liverpool boss has had to be patient as he looks to get his man.

Dahoud stayed put at Borussia Monchengladbach, with Klopp deciding to bide his time and continue to keep tabs on the young midfielder.

City are said to have been impressed with the midfielder in the Champions League this term, and Pep Guardiola's side have already signed Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane from the Bundesliga in the summer.

To make matters worse for Liverpool, it's reported that Juventus are also interested and are ready to open the bidding for Dahoud in January. The Serie A club are said to be preparing a £13.4m bid.

Dahoud reportedly has a release clause for as little as £8.5m in his contract next summer.
