Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is reportedly in line to be offered a new contract by the club to reward him for his fine start to the season.

The former Southampton man scored just four goals in the Premier League all season last year, but already has two to his name for the Reds this time round and added a strike for England earlier this month too.

Having now established himself as one of Jürgen Klopp’s top performers and one of the more permanent fixtures in the side, The Express claim that a new contract is on the way.

It’s reported that Liverpool will make contact with the player’s representatives before the end of the year to begin discussions over a new deal, with Lallana’s current contract running until 2019.

Given his impact since arriving in 2014, the 28-year-old has evidently done enough to impress the Liverpool hierarchy and earn a new deal as he hopes to continue to play an integral role in Klopp’s plans moving forward.
