Borussia Dortmund will fight Liverpool for the signature of Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze.

The attacking midfielder is ready to leave the Allianz Arena this summer after failing to secure a spot in the first-team.

Liverpool are very keen on the German and Jurgen Klopp has urged the club to tie up a deal before Euro 2016.

But, according to Kicker, Dortmund are refusing to let up in the race for their former playmaker.

A month ago the Bundesliga club had given up hope of signing the 23-year-old, but after selling Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich they now have money to burn.

Gotze came through the academy at Dortmund and he is reportedly open to returning to the club.
