Liverpool are reportedly willing to meet Rafa Silva's £15million release clause and have met with his representatives.

Silva has been in fine form for Braga this season, scoring 12 goals and laying on eight assists in 49 appearances.

This has reportedly caught the attention of a host of top clubs, including Manchester United as well as the Reds.

According to Portuguese website ZeroZero, Jurgen Klopp's side are firm favourites to sign the 23-year-old midfielder.

And it's said the Merseyside club will have no problem meeting his £15m release clause and have already met with Jorge Mendes to begin negotiations.

Mendes' company Gestifute has a 50 per cent stake in Silva's current contract and he is represented by a separate agent - Antonio Araujo.

And Araujo confirmed this month he is avidly seeking a Premier League move for his client, adding weight to the reports of a move to Anfield.

"Our client, Rafa Silva, sees with very good eyes the possibility of playing in the Premier League," Araujo told website SportWitness.

"We are working towards achieving this objective."
