Liverpool are reportedly working on a £15million transfer deal for Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
However, the Brentwood Gazette claims that the Reds’ pursuit of the Frenchman could be hijacked by Premier League rivals West Ham United.
The French international has enjoyed a fine season for Palace, though his form has not been enough to steer the club away from the growing threat of relegation.
This could give Liverpool and West Ham some hope of luring the former Newcastle man away from Selhurst Park in the summer.
