Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a summer move for ex-Arsenal youngster Havard Nordtveit, according to reports.

Nordtveit, 25, is out of contract this summer and could arrive at Anfield on a free transfer.

The Norwegian spent three years at Arsenal between 2007 and 2010 but failed to make a single appearance for the Gunners.

But he has carved out an impressive career at Borussia Monchengladbach and the Sunday People claim his performances have caught the eye of Liverpool scouts.

According to the reports, Nordtveit in on Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's radar.

It is claimed Klopp is well aware of the player's talents after watching the defender's rise to prominence when in charge of Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal signed the player Norwegian side Haugesund for a reported £1.7million.

He spent a season on loan at Nurenberg in 2008-09 before being sold to Monchengladbach for £800,000.
