Target trying to force through Liverpool transfer
Fiorentina midfielder Mario Suarez is attempting to force through a move to Liverpool this January, according to reports.
The Spanish international is a long-term target for the Reds and was heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer when he was set to leave Atletico Madrid.
The 28-year-old chose to join Serie A side Fiorentina instead but he’s endured a difficult start with the Italian club and has been benched for the side’s last six matches.
And, according to talkSPORT, the midfielder is unhappy with his lack of playing time and has instructed his representatives to begin negotiations with Jürgen Klopp’s side.
