Liverpool are reportedly ready to spring a move for Mario Suarez.

The Spanish midfielder garnered interest from Arsenal and Manchester United during the summer before signing for Fiorentina.

Jürgen Klopp has only just taken over the reins at Anfield, but it seems he could make a foray in the January transfer window.

talkSPORT cite reports in Italy which suggest Suarez, who has been consigned to the bench this term, could be on the move in January.

It is thought Suarez is keen on testing himself in the Premier League.

And it is believed he has spoken to his representatives, urging them to set the wheels in motion over a move.

Liverpool however could face competition for Suarez’s signature, with Sevilla believed to be monitoring his situation.
