Sassuolo have confirmed Juventus aren't the only club interested in winger Domenico Berardi.

Sassuolo bought the full registration rights to Berardi in the summer from Juve after Italy's co-ownership system came to and end, costing £7.2million.

The Serie A champions have an option to buy the 21-year-old back next summer for £13m, but reports in Italy suggest they'll make a bid in January.

But Sassuolo have no intention to sell the Italy U21 international, who is also a target for Premier League club Liverpool, during the winter window.

"I can rule out a January move," Sassuolo’s managing director Giovanni Carnevali told Tuttosport. "That’s not part of our company policy.

"Last year, we invested €10m (£7.2m) in him. For now Berardi is completely a Sassuolo player and we’re not a club that needs to sell.

"With Juventus it’s an open discussion. It’s an advantage, but Juventus are not the only ones to be following Berardi."
