Liverpool are hoping to capitalise on Daniel Ceballos’ refusal to sign a contract renewal at Real Betis by agreeing a deal for the wonderkid in January, according to reports.

The 19-year-old has three caps for Spain’s U21s and has been tipped to make his full international breakthrough this season.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are thought to be keeping a close eye on the midfielder, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

But, according to Marca via talkSPORT, Liverpool are hoping to agree a deal with the Spanish midfielder in January meaning they would only have to pay a compensation fee to the La Liga side.
