Liverpool are still in the hunt for Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi.

The 25-year-old found his first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu limited last term, and has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital.

Interest from Anfield had seemingly cooled, but Marca report the Reds are still very much in the hunt for his services.

However, whereas they were reportedly willing to offer €20million earlier in the summer, they will now only go to €15million, given Rafa Benitez's desire to move him on.

Illarramendi is apparently willing to stay and fight for his place, but may be forced away as he eyes first-team football.

Real Sociedad have also been linked, but would likely only offer in the region of €10million, while Juventus could swoop, in a bid to reunite Illarramendi with former Real team-mate Sami Khedira.

Los Blancos' acquisition of Mateo Kovacic has further diminished Illarramendi's opportunities of regular football at the Bernabeu.
