LIVERPOOL have agreed a deal for Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos to join the club next summer, according to reports in Spain.

Seville-based newspaper Diario de Sevilla claim contact has already been made and the Spain Under-21 international will make the switch next June.

While the deal won't go through straight away, the report even goes so far as to suggest a house and car has been arranged to make the transition as smooth as possible.

That could be the reason why Liverpool have moved ahead of Arsenal, who are also understood to be interested in the Spain Under-21 international.

Ceballos has an £8.5million buy-out clause in his current contract at Betis and will reportedly sign a deal worth £1.1m a year on Merseyside.

The 19-year-old has been compared with compatriot Cesc Fabregas and was a mainstay for Betis as they won promotion to La Liga from the Segunda Division last term.

He has been capped at various youth levels for his country and was part of the academy at his club's cross-town rivals Sevilla.

Liverpool could also make a move for Real Madrid star Asier Illarramendi after missing out on Mateo Kovacic to the Spanish giants.
