Steven Gerrard gave a fascinating insight into his life and career in a pre-recorded interview on Irish TV last night.

The skipper appeared on The Late Late Show in Dublin, where he was promoting a charity event for autism sufferers along with Keith Duffy.

During the 15-minute chat he spoke about his debut, replacing Sami Hyypia as captain, why he doesn't regret turning down Chelsea, Istanbul, Liverpool's season and Luis Suarez.
