German U21 star Samed Yesil netted a late winner as Liverpool U21s came from behind to sink Wolves 3-2 at the Academy on Monday.
Back in November Liverpool had beaten Wolves 5-1 at Molineux and the away side came to Kirkby with a great determination to seek revenge.
Things started well for Alex Inglethorpe's side when Krisztian Adorjan netted the opener with his ninth goal of the season when he slotted home after Yesil's effort was saved.
Joao Carlos Texeira went close to adding to making it 2-0 but Wolves turned the game around in the second half.
A Conor Coady own goal levelled the scores before Sam Winnall made it 2-1. The Wolves striker saw his penalty saved by Danny Ward before he netted the rebound.
However with 10 minutes to go, Marc Pelosi netted the priceless equaliser with a great turn on the edge of the box, before Teixeira's cross from the right provided the assist for Yesil to fire a dramatic winner.
It is now two straight wins in the U21 elite league for Inglethorpe's side and the dramatic comeback maintains their unbeaten record this season.
Liverpool team: Ward, McLaughlin, Pelosi, Sama, Coady, Roddan, Morgan, Teixeira, Yesil, Adorjan, Pacheco.
