Jose Enrique insists Luis Suarez will bounce back from a difficult night in front of goal against Zenit St Petersburg in Russia on Thursday.
Suarez went close on several occasions as the Reds lost 2-0 to the Russian champions in the Europa League round of 32.
The lack of an away goal means Brendan Rodgers' side will need to win by three or more in the second leg at Anfield next week.
However, before then, they face another tough test in the form of Swansea and Enrique is confident his teammate will be keen to get among the goals when the sides meet on Sunday.
"Luis Suarez is a winner and he likes to win every game," the full-back told Sky Sports.
"Of course he was really disappointed with the misses he had on Thursday but he is a key player and one of the best strikers in the world.
"Like everyone he is still a person who makes mistakes and Thursday was not his day."
The Reds slipped to consecutive 2-0 defeats against West Brom and Zenit in the space of four days earlier in the week and Enrique believes the team need to start taking their chances if they are to return to form.
He said: "It is happening to us a lot this year. We had our chances to score, like a lot of games this season.
"I think we are doing well. The problem is, in the last three games we have been trying to score goals and had chances to score and then we have had mistakes.
"We have to improve in defence and in attack do what we are doing and hopefully we will have better luck."
