Aston Villa boss Graham Taylor admits he's fearing a Liverpool backlash as he prepares his side for tonight's Worthington Cup quarter-final clash.
A glance at the recent form of both Liverpool and Villa would suggest nothing other than a home win for Taylor's men tonight but the former England manager is far too experienced to fall into the trap of underestimating the Reds.
He says: "If someone said to you 'when do you want to play a team?' then it is not a bad time if they have lost four or five games on the trot.
"But you are talking here about Liverpool as a club with a big squad of players, who have operated at the top end of things and won trophies.
"That wounded tiger mentality does spring mind in the sense that they could now be at their most dangerous, in looking to put recent results behind them."
