Superb ladies sink City

Liverpool FC Ladies made a superb start to their pre-season programme with a 3-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday night.

Matt Beard's new-look side played some great football in their first game at the Halton Stadium - their new home ground for the 2013 season.

Fara Williams, an own goal and Nicole Rosler were on the mark for the ladies.

The new 2013 Women's Super League doesn't kick off until March, but the ladies have an extensive pre-season fixture programme and a cup match against Everton.

Tuesday, February 5. Leeds United (H) 7.30pm.

Wednesday, February 13. Blackburn Rovers (H) 7.30pm.

Saturday, February 16. Four team tournament. Rangers (H) 2pm.

Sunday, February 17. Four team tournament. Forfar (H) 2pm.

Thursday, February 21. Aston Villa (H) 7.30pm.

That's the boss game, now LFC Ladies should teach the first big boys how to play proper football! Well done and congratulations on the first win, YNWA!! By the way would love to see some highlights on LFC TV as well ;)
