Luis Suarez spoke of his pride after today being named the Standard Chartered Player of the Month for September.
Liverpool's No.7 scored four goals during the month, including another sensational hat-trick against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
It meant Suarez received 33 per cent of the vote in our online poll to see off the challenge of 17-year-old Raheem Sterling (20 per cent) and Nuri Sahin (15 per cent).
He was presented with a trophy and bottle of champagne at Melwood on Friday.
Suarez told Liverpoolfc.com: "It is special for me to get this award because it is voted for by our supporters.
"They always support me at all times and they are very important.
"It was a nice feeling to get the hat-trick at Norwich. I always try to score in every game I play and that was special, but the most important thing is always that Liverpool win."
Suarez arrived back at Melwood on Thursday evening after returning from international duty with Uruguay in Bolivia. Despite the long journey, he insists he is fit for the clash with Reading.
He added: "It wasn't a good experience for us because we lost the two games but I am fit for Saturday. It is important we get the three points against Reading.
"It is a very important match and we need to start winning at Anfield in front of our special supporters. They support every player all of the time and we want to get three points for them."
