Suso has been named in the Spain U21 squad for the first time after his impressive start to 2012-13.
The 18-year-old, who made his first-team breakthrough with Liverpool this season, has been included in the young Spaniards' plans for the friendly with Italy next week.
Suso Tweeted: "I'm really excited to be called up to the U21 team for the friendly in Italy."
So far this season, the forward has made nine senior appearances for the Reds and was named the Liverpoolfc.com journalists' man of the match for his cameo performance in Thursday's Europa League encounter with Anzhi in Russia.
