Martin Skrtel has been nominated as a potential Premier League Player of the Year at the forthcoming Northwest Football Awards.
The Slovakian is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Lucas Leiva, who won the award last time around.
He is up against Everton's John Heitinga, Manchester City's Vincent Kompany, Antonio Valencia of Manchester United, Wigan Athletic skipper Gary Caldwell, Adam Bogdan of Bolton Wanderers and Yakubu, formerly of Blackburn Rovers.
Supporters can help Skrtel win by voting now. Visit www.northwestfootballawards.com to cast your vote, or via Facebook (www.facebook.com/northwestfootballawards) and Twitter (@NWFAwards).
All supporters who vote for their chosen Player of the Year will be entered into a free prize draw to win a pair of tickets for the Northwest Football Awards ceremony.
The awards ceremony takes place on Monday, November 12 at Lancashire County Cricket Club's 'The Point' and will be presented by BBC Sport's Dan Walker.
