Rodgers eyes Sterling solution

Brendan Rodgers is confident Raheem Sterling's new contract will soon be resolved.

Sterling turned 18 last weekend and the boss was asked by reporters if he was concerned that no deal had yet been announced.

He responded: "No, not at all. That will be resolved I'm sure, fairly soon.

"He's a kid who has got this special ability so that no matter what is going on, he doesn't get too involved in it.

"He focuses on his football. Hopefully it stays that way."

Sterling has featured 25 times for the Reds this season, more than any other player.
