Pepe Reina was today named the Standard Chartered LFC Player of the Month for December.

The Spanish custodian tallied 34 per cent of your vote in an exclusive poll on this website to see off competition from Maxi Rodriguez and last month's winner Raul Meireles.
It comes after Reina made four appearances during December and skippered the Reds for the first time against Steaua Bucharest and Aston Villa.
Upon being presented with the award at Melwood, the 'keeper told Liverpoolfc.tv: "I'd like to thank all the fans who voted for me - but it's never good when a goalkeeper wins it because it means we've been busy.
"Let's hope that next month it's Stevie or Fernando who is collecting this award!"
Every month you'll get the chance to vote for the Standard Chartered award - and the winner will be presented with a brand new trophy courtesy of our main club sponsor.
