Reds pair on FA award shortlist

Liverpool duo Steven Gerrard and Glen Johnson have been nominated for the England player of the year prize – and you can cast your vote now.

The pair join Ashley Cole, Joe Hart and Danny Welbeck on the five-man shortlist, with the winner set to be announced at the maiden FA England Awards in February 2013.

Fans will decide which player claims the main title, with an online vote available, as well as the women's player of the year and the U21 player of the year.

Jordan Henderson and Martin Kelly are both in contention for the young player's prize, while newly-recruited Liverpool Ladies midfielder Fara Williams was named on the shortlist for the women's award.
