Rafa Benitez is hopeful of having Javier Mascherano back for Sunday's top of the table clash with Chelsea.
The midfielder missed our 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina on Tuesday due to a minor hamstring problem. But Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv: "Javier trained today so hopefully he will be fit for Sunday. "For us he is a key player. He is a very good worker in the middle and he can keep the balance of the team." Benitez is also set to make a late decision on the fitness of Daniel Agger after he completed 68 minutes for the reserves following a back injury. "Daniel trained today. I watched the DVD of the reserve game and he did well," said the boss. "Maybe he will have a chance for Sunday - we will see. "He is a player who can defend really well but he also has quality in possession. It will be good to have him back."
