Liverpool U21s were left deflated after Manchester United struck in the 94th minute to clinch a 1-0 win at Langtree Park on Monday night.

The Reds were reduced to 10 men on 50 minutes; however, a team which included the likes of Raheem Sterling, Andre Wisdom, Jonjo Shelvey and Suso battled hard to stay in contention.

They even created a handful of chances throughout the closing exchanges but were hit with a late, late winner when Michele Fornasier fired United in front with seconds remaining.

good to see raheem,jonjo, suso and andre all getting their feet put back on the ground. get back to basics lads, you have all lost your way a bit lately and a spell in the reserves will do you the power of good.
