Pepe Reina will be assessed before next weekend's FA Cup tie at Oldham after a double injury kept him out of the 5-0 win over Norwich.
Brad Jones deputised for the Spaniard and had little to do as goals from Jordan Henderson, Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge, Steven Gerrard and Ryan Bennett (OG) made it a comfortable afternoon.
Afterwards Rodgers told reporters: "He had a thigh problem before the game last week. He played and on assessment afterwards it got worse. Plus he broke his nose [in the game].
"He had an operation to fix his nose yesterday.
"We'll see how he is by next week and review it from there."
