Adam Morgan struck twice and Daniel Pacheco was also on target as Liverpool U21s recorded an impressive 3-1 victory at Manchester City on Friday afternoon.
Morgan drilled Rodolfo Borrell's into a first-half lead, but Luca Scapuzzi levelled for the hosts.
However, the 18-year-old striker restored Liverpool's advantage after the break before a sublime curler from Pacheco sealed a well-deserved win.
It was an oustanding team display by Borrell's charges and they could have had a few more goals such was their superiority.
Jack Robinson was very impressive at left-back after returning from international duty with England U21s.
Liverpool team: Ward, McLaughlin, Robinson, Sama, Wilson, Coady, Morgan, Roddan, Ngoo, Adorjan, Pacheco. Subs unused: Sokolik, Stephens, Pelosi, Smith, Ibe.
