Former Liverpool under-19 skipper Steven McNulty may be set for a move Steve McMahon's Blackpool after joining the second division club for pre-season training.
McNulty left the academy last season with a host of clubs chasing his signature, including Chester and Hull City, but Blackpool appears to be the player's preferred destination
The powerful centre-half turned out for Blackpool reserves towards the tail end of last term and has been added to the squad to face Accrington Stanley in a friendly tonight.
Former Liverpool midfielder McMahon watched McNulty on a number of occasions last season, and may now be set to offer the promising youngster a permanent deal at Bloomfield Road.
Blackpool assistant boss Mark Seagraves, another former Red, today confirmed his side are considering a move for McNulty. "Steven is training with us pre-season, we are having a look at him and we will take it from there," he says.
