McMahon hails Pacheco

John McMahon lavished praise on Daniel Pacheco after the Spaniard produced a brilliant display during the reserves 2-1 victory over Sunderland in front of the watching Kenny Dalglish on Tuesday afternoon.

The former Barcelona starlet fired a superb opener and then turned provider to set up Nikola Saric for a comeback goal.

"It was a good win and we produced two great finishes," McMahon told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"We are always telling the lads about the importance of an end product and they did it well today.

"Pacheco is a good kid to work with and he's always got a smile on his face. He wants to work hard and do well for this club. He listens and he has an infectious enthusiasm around the place."

For Saric and Jay Spearing the pair enjoyed a 90 minute outing as they came back from injuiry.

"It was great for them to play 90 after a break and psychologically it's a real boost," he added.

"It was fantastic to see Saric score. Technically and tactically he is very good.

"It was great to have Jay back with us. He's terrific to have around the place and hopefully he can push on now and get back in the first team squad."

very happy in particular for saric. has great potential but has been really unlucky with injuries. hope (touch wood) they are all behind him and that he can really make a name for himself. have high hopes for him
