#LFC is football's most tweeted

Liverpool have been the most talked about football club on Twitter in the UK this year.

The #LFC hashtag pipped Manchester United's #MUFC in the Twitter list.

2012.twitter.com collected data to discover the sporting events which were most tweeted about in the UK.

The #Paralympics was top, with #LFC second, #MUFC third and #Olympics fourth.

Arsenal (6th), Leeds (8th) and Spurs (9th) were the other football clubs to make the top 10.
