A new-look Liverpool Ladies were at Melwood on Tuesday to train with the first team ahead of their first competitive game of the 2013 season.
Manager Matt Beard - who hopes to be challenging at the top end of the Women's Super League after a complete transformation of his squad - swapped notes with counterpart Brendan Rodgers as the likes of Gemma Bonner and Natasha Dowie trained with Luis Suarez and co.

The ladies play their first competitive game - an FA Cup clash with Aston Vila - at 2pm on Sunday in Sutton Coldfield.
This is followed a week later by a mouthwatering derby encounter with Everton in the WSL Continental Cup.
Star players such as Dowie and Fara Williams crossed Stanley Park this summer and will face their old club for the first time.

Other new faces brought in by Beard include Whitney Engen of USA, Icelandic international Katrin Ómarsdóttir and Bonner from Chelsea Ladies.
Their visit to Melwood today follows the ladies' appearance at Anfield during half-time on Sunday.
Stay tuned to BBC channels and LFC TV for footage of the training session plus interviews next week.
