Ladies star shines for England

Liverpool FC Ladies star Gemma Bonner was on the mark for England U23s at the weekend when she netted a fine strike in the win over Sweden in the La Manga four-team tournament.

Bonner is England's captain and Liverpool teammate Lucy Bronze also did the Reds proud in the second game by setting up the winner in the 1-0 win over Norway.

The duo face USA in the final game on Monday.

On Wednesday Fara Williams is with England ladies' team for the clash v Italy.

Katrin Omarsdottir is representing Iceland in the Algarve Cup as they face USA and fellow Red Whitney Engen.
