Highdale wins first England cap

Academy starlet Sean Highdale last night became Liverpool's newest international after winning his first England under-16 cap in the Victory Shield international against Northern Ireland.

The 15-year old midfielder from Halewood played the first half of England's 3-0 win in Ballymena and will now be hoping to retain his place in the squad for next month's clash with Scotland.
