What are the chances of a goal from the centre circle at Anfield on derby day this weekend?
Unlikely? Well, not necessarily. In fact, the chances are higher than you'd imagine - and we're not talking about from the boots of Fernando Torres and co.
Once the dust settles on the first half of Sunday's action Liverpool FC, in association with main club sponsor Standard Chartered, will be hosting a 'Goals 4 Girls' skills challenge in which three girls will be tasked with the challenge of firing the ball into an empty net from the centre circle.
'Goals 4 Girls' is a Liverpool FC community initiative aimed at girls who are not in employment, education or training, many of whom have suffered a trauma.
Standard Chartered operate a similar project - Goal - which uses netball to reach the same objectives in developing countries.
One of the lucky girls from the 'Goals 4 Girls' group will soon be given the chance to travel to India as an ambassador of LFC to see the Goal project in action - so while dissecting the events of the first half at Anfield with your mates this weekend make sure you take time out to give support to our three girls, each of whom will be hoping to impress you with their Xabi Alonso-esque long-range shooting!
