Steven Gerrard has been Liverpool's man with the Midas touch for the best part of 15 years - and now Hollywood's current James Bond has backed the Reds' No.8 to be the next 007.

Reds fanatic Daniel Craig met the skipper in Boston ahead of Liverpool's pre-season clash against AS Roma at Fenway Park this summer.
And with the latest instalment of the Bond series, Skyfall, poised to hit cinemas worldwide, Cheshire-born Craig believes Gerrard has some of the necessary attributes to excel in the role.
"Who would I rather be, captain of Liverpool or Bond?" asked Craig. "Well I don't think I could keep up any more so Bond will do but Steven Gerrard would make a good Bond.
"He is a good leader so you know what, seriously, who knows?"
