Gerrard equals best assist tally

Steven Gerrard maintained his stunning Barclays Premier League form during 2012-13 by equalling his best assist tally for a single season with 13 games remaining on the fixture list.

The Reds' skipper has played every single minute of the current league campaign, regularly providing the final pass for a teammate to find the target - on nine occasions, to be exact.

By smashing in a stunning long-range strike at the Etihad Stadium, Gerrard also increased his number of goals to six.
